What Why Who

What is it about and why am I doing this? Who am I?

Let’s start with the last question. My name is Hans-Jürgen Sommerfeld but please call me Jürgen, as all my friends and family do. Photography was my addiction for more than two thirds of my life, which means more than 40 years now. There were some creative breaks, but they always have been short.

After more than eight years of shooting digital I started taking photos in the old analog way again in April 2014. And what started as an experiment is now the main thing I do. Of course I still shoot digital, but it is getting less and less.

It is not very long ago I decided to change my equipment, as it was hard to go on a trip and to carry two different equipment – digital and analog – with me. So I sold my complete Canon stuff and went back to my Nikon equipment, which enables me to use all kind of Nikon lenses as well on my analog and on my digital Nikon Df.

What it is about? Well I think I have answered it in the paragraphs before. It is about my hobby photography. I don’t have special subjects, so you will find all kind of things I see and find interesting to take a photo of.

So there is one question left: Why am I doing this? Honestly? Simply because it is fun to share similar interests of hobbies with people who do the same or are interested. And I found out, that here at wordpress people are more serious and honest than on other platforms like facebook or tumblr, which I left both.

Thank you for your interest and I hope you like what I show. Any kind of comments or critics are welcome.

      Versprochen 🙂

      Liebe Grüße
